SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF TWO MECHTRONIX ASCENT® FLIGHT TRAINERS™ TO CIVIL AVIATION COLLEGE OF JAPAN
On-Site Acceptance completed for two Beech Baron G58 AFTâ„¢
Aero Friedrichshafen 2012, April 19th 2012 – Mechtronix Systems today announced the successful delivery and on-site acceptance of two Ascent® Flight Trainers™ at the Civil Aviation College of Japan (CAC). The training devices are configured as the twin engine piston Beech Baron G58 and will be used for VFR and IFR training sessions at CAC’s facilities located in Sendai, Japan.
The two units were acquired by CAC with the financial support from the Japan Pilot Training Promotion Association (JPTPA) in 2010 to provide training for 9 newly acquired Beechcraft Baron G58. The pilot students (72 new students per year) trained at CAC are traditionally hired by major Japanese carriers JAL and ANA.
The Ascent® Flight Trainers™ closely replicating CAC’s newly acquired fleet of Baron G58 aircraft, feature a 180 x 35° multi-channel visual system and a Redifun Simulation Inc. (RSI) Image Generator; the latter is FFS Level D compliant and will provide CAC’s pilot students with exceptional visual scene fidelity and realism. These cost-effective platforms are equipped with Garmin 1000 advanced avionics and come with a suite of specific airport databases to further enhance realism during VFR training sessions. The trainers are built in compliance with FAA FTD Level 5 and JAR FSTD A FNPT II requirements.
