SIMTECH RECEIVES 3-YEAR LEVEL D CERTIFICATION FOR MECHTRONIX ATR FFS 

MONTREAL, December 15, 2011 – First class Irish TRTO Simtech Aviation Training successfully received JAR FSTD Level D certification for 3 years from the Irish Aviation Authorities (IAA) for their ATR 72-500 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) designed, manufactured and installed by Mechtronix Systems Inc., an MWC Company, in Dublin, Ireland. 

The granting of this extended qualification from the Irish CAA is a mark of the reliability and quality of Mechtronix’ flight simulation training devices; in fact the ATR FFS Xâ„¢ has been in service for only 2 years at Simtech’s training facilities, and this is the minimum time that a simulator has to be in service to qualify for 3 years.  

The ATR 72-500 FFS Xâ„¢ unit features a collimated visual system and a RSI Image Generator providing exceptional FFS-like visual fidelity to its users. The simulator is also equipped with a MOOG 6 degrees of freedom electric motion system.
