Fernando Petruzziello
CEO Mechtronix, Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder
Fernando Petruzziello is responsible for Mechtronix strategic planning. In addition, he is responsible for overall guidance of all electrical and computer engineering activities. Prior to founding the company, he was the electrical design engineer at Concordia University’s Fluid Power Control and Research Laboratory, which was the first to produce a flight simulator using microprocessor technology. In 2006, Mr. Petruzziello won the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award”. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University (Montreal).

Xavier-Henri Hervé
President, COO & Co-Founder
As President of Mechtronix Systems Inc., Xavier-Henri Hervé has been entrusted with the running and restructuring of Mechtronix Systems Inc., the core division of Mechtronix World Corp (MWC). As MWC's COO, Xavier's responsibilities include participating and overseeing the Group’s strategy and business development. Xavier is the leader of Mechtronix’ public relations and communications with the investment and the financial community at large. Prior to joining Mechtronix, Xavier held engineering positions with CAE and Bombardier Inc. and sales and marketing positions within Oracle Corporation’s European operations. Xavier holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from INSEAD, Paris. He has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science by Concordia University during the fall 2011 convocation ceremony.

Joaquim Frazao
Senior Vice President & Co-Founder
Joaquim Frazao supervises every project developed by the mechanical engineering group, coordinating resources to ensure a good quality work with respect to specifications and schedule. Furthermore, he manages after-sales support for Mechtronix Systems’ extensive international client base. Prior to founding Mechtronix, Joaquim was Supervisor of the Machine Tool and Surface Mechanics Laboratory at Concordia University and lectured on machine design, kinematics of mechanisms and dynamics of machines. Joaquim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Applied Sciences from Concordia University (Montreal).

Thom Allen
Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Thom Allen is responsible for the overall direction of the technology used by MWC within its simulation and custom engineering products. He reports directly to the President and liaises with the administration and engineering departments. Prior to joining Mechtronix in 1989, Thom participated in a number of significant research and development projects where his contribution included the development of simulation software for aircraft avionics systems. Thom holds a Bachelor’s Degree (with Distinction) in Computer Engineering from the University of Concordia (Montreal).

Mark Dransfield
Senior Director, Business Development and Strategy
Mark Dransfield joined Mechtronix in September 2009. Based in the UK, Mark works in close cooperation with the management team, where he lends his expertise to marketing and promotion of products and services with a particular focus on the tier 1 airlines. Prior to joining Mechtronix, Mark worked at Thales Training & Simulation as Director of Programmes and more recently as Director Strategy & Marketing for the civil simulation business. In addition, Mark is a registered Chartered Engineer and the Chairman of the Royal Aeronautical Society Flight Simulation Group Committee. Mark holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from London University, United Kingdom.
