Flight Training Europe Receives UK CAA Dual Certification For Mechtronix B737-NG FFT X ™

Spanish Based Commercial Flying School First to Use Advanced FFT X™ Device for MPL Course

MONTREAL, June 23, 2009 – Mechtronix Systems Inc. (MSI), the fastest growing and one of the leading providers of flight training equipment in the world, today announced the successful qualification of its advanced full flight trainer, the FFT X™ installed at Flight Training Europe’s base in Jerez Sevilla Spain. The device was evaluated by the UK CAA and received JAR FSTD A FTD Level 2A and FNPT II MCC. With the introduction of this technology, Flight Training Europe plans to emerge as an early innovator in the race of Flight Training Organizations seeking to provide European airlines with better pilot provisioning solutions via Multi-crew Pilot Licensing (MPL) curriculum.

With the deployment of this special unit in late 2008, Flight Training Europe has become the first pilot training school in Europe to use the FFT X™; it has announced plans to use the FFT X™ as a key component of its joint MPL course with Europe’s largest and most successful regional airline FlyBe. The high fidelity trainer, reflecting the same FFS quality and fidelity, features a seat-actuation system and a collimated visual system which provides both the motion and visual cues required for the intermediate phase of MPL. The FFT X™ is in addition flexible by design as it is built in such a way that it can be upgraded to an FFS X™ should the training organization choose it.

“With the introduction of this technology, we have further strengthened our leadership within the European professional pilot training community,” said Flight Training Europe’s Managing Director Peter Sadler. “We have been impressed by the performance of the trainer and so have the authorities and our pilot students. Mechtronix is definitely a simulator provider to consider when it comes to professional pilot training equipment,” continues Bob Anderson, Flight Training Europe Director Business Development.

Mechtronix’ President Hervé, recognizes the importance of being associated with industry leaders and innovators like Flight Training Europe. “This new collaboration not only continues to further establish Mechtronix as a technology provider to the top flight training schools in Europe, but one that will be providing a new generation of MPL pilots in training with the next generation of technology.”

About Flight Training Europe

Flight Training Europe S.L. (www.ftejerez.com) is a commercial pilot training school based at Jerez Airport in Spain. The flight school was originally formed in Jerez by BAE Systems after moving from Prestwick in Scotland. In December 2003 the college was bought out by the management and renamed Flight Training Europe. The school provides an integrated course which consists of ATPL theoretical knowledge and flying training which lasts approximately 15 months – culminating in the issue of a JAA CPL with Instrument Rating and Multi-Crew Co-operation credit. Following this course, a pilot will be qualified to commence on airliner type specific training. This is a JAA Approved full-time course of pilot training and is used to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to easily transition to type rating and operate as a Co-Pilot on multi-pilot, multi-engine airliners in commercial air transport. The course is designed for trainees who have little or no previous flying experience and must be completed at one flight training organization.
